My name is Karina! I'm a Canadian animator, writer and illustrator based in San Francisco. I'm on a mission to tell stories that bring joy and wonder to audiences of all ages! I love solving problems through creative and multidisciplinary lenses.
Currently, I'm pursuing a BFA in Animation at California College of the Arts with a Minor in Writing and Literature. I also study with incredible instructors at Animation Mentor!
In my free time, I volunteer as a Partnership Associate with Asians in Animation. We foster community relationships for Asian creatives in VFX, Animation and Film around the world.
For fun, I write/illustrate children's books such as Kai’s Tea Eggs, which was published by Arsenal Pulp Press and gained recognition across Canadian education systems.
When I’m not at my desk, you can find me outdoors immersed in evergreen trees and sipping on honey chamomile tea.
